Important COVID-19 patient vaccine plan Update
Spring Branch Community Health Center has received a small number of COVID-19 vaccines. The first vaccines will be given to existing patients 75 years of age and up. Invitations will only be provided to these individuals. As we receive more vaccines, we will continue providing them to others that qualify. Currently, we are not providing COVID-19 vaccines to the public. We recommend you follow the City of Houston Health Department and Harris County Public Health as they begin to offer the COVID-19 vaccine at big events throughout the city.
The patients below qualify under the Phase 1B, Texas COVID-19 Vaccination Plan:
Patients 75 or older
Patients 65 to 74 (invitations not sent)
Patients younger than 65(invitations not sent) who have at least one Class 1* condition, or at least two Class 2** comorbid conditions
*Class 1 conditions include: cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cardiac conditions (congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy), obesity (BMI 30+), pregnancy, sickle cell disease, smoking, solid organ transplant, Type I or II diabetes mellitus
**Class 2 conditions include: asthma, cerebrovascular disease, hypertension, use of corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive agents
